It's been a while since I priced out a loan and I have some "bad" news. Rates are going up a bit. I put bad in quotes because with the rise or rates, we are seeing a small upswing in the economy in general. Luckily, the price of a house in Utah is staying down near the rock bottom. I saw a listing for a 2400 square foot house built in 2004 that was not a short sale. The asking price was $150k. Is it still a good time to buy a house? I think so.
